After the big September 21st birthday party extravaganza (click here for more information on that), Brighton’s monthly miniclick photography talks will return to normal service. We’re bringing some of the best photographers in the country to The Old Market in Brighton & Hove to talk about their work, in an informal setting, FOR FREE! The previous 12 speakers have all be great and the response from the audience has been ace. I’m very proud with what we’ve been able to do with them so far and we’ve built a foundation to get some really good names down in the next year.

“Murray Ballard (b.1983) lives and works in Brighton, England. He graduated from the University of Brighton in 2007 with a BA(Hons) in Photography, and was selected for Fresh Faced and Wild Eyed ‘08, the annual showcase of work by the most promising recent graduates at The Photographers’ Gallery, London. In 2011 the British Journal of Photography recognised him as one of the ‘Emerging Photographers of Note’ following his debut solo show, The Prospect of Immortality, at Impressions Gallery, Bradford. His work has been published in many international magazines and newspapers including: The Guardian, GEO, Wired, Intelligence in Lifestyle, and the photography journals: 8 and YVI. As well as working on his own projects he continues to assist renowned Magnum photographer Mark Power”.

Tuesday, October 4th at The Old Market in Brighton & Hove (11a Upper Market St, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 1AS). It will kickoff at around 7:30pm (doors at 6:30pm). Get there early as the seats get snapped up quick! Entry is free, but there is a bar there that stays open after the talk, so bring some cash and support the venue by having a drink or two.
